For the Love of Wecks Glass Jars

Love at first sight ... Berlin

I was in Berlin last year and stayed at the very cool Casa Campers Hotel. A small boutique hotel in the heart of Berlin created by Campers shoe company founders. On the top floor is the private bar with views of the roof tops of Berlin. The free self serve cafe has 24 hour delicious sweet and savory meals and nibbles and smoothies in glass display cabinets.The small meals and cut fruit at the  bottom of the cabinet were all in beautiful lidded glass jars. This was my fist encounter with WECKS jars. It was love at first sight and I wrote down the name of the brand in the hope of finding out more about them.I was so excited when I found the Australian distributor; Ozfamer.com, with a full range of glass beauties. Although WECKS jars were originally for pickling and preserving you can't do better than glass for storing food in general; they're better for the environment and your food and they're great gifts too. But I'm warning you, they're a bit addictive.
